Shopping For A New Car

When my boss told me that he needed me to shop for some fleet vehicles for our business, I thought I would be getting a well-deserved break from work. Unfortunately, the task quickly snowballed into a giant ordeal. In addition to finding a dealer that we could trust, I also didn't really know how to decide between makes and models. However, after a lot of research, I was able to narrow down my choices. I was able to find a group of cars that our salespeople could drive comfortably, and it really helped our business to branch out. This blog is all about shopping for new cars, and how to avoid some of the more common pitfalls.

4 Features To Look For In Your Next Family Vehicle

If you have young kids, and you are in the market for new Kia cars for sale, you want to invest in a vehicle that will keep your kids safe, and that will allow you to transport your kids in comfort. When shopping for a family vehicle, there are some specific features you should look for.

Feature #1: Rear Window Shades

Your kids are going to sit lower in the vehicle than you are, which means that the sunlight is going to hit your kids right in the face most of the time when your child is in the car. That is why rear window shades can be extremely useful.

They can keep the sun out of your kids' eyes, which can allow your child to catch a little nap when they are in the car or can just make sitting in the back of the car more pleasant when they don't have to the sun hitting their little faces.

Feature #2: Conversation Mirror

A conversation mirror is essential when you have children sitting in the back seat of your vehicle. A conversation mirror is mounted right above the rearview mirror and is designed to provide you with a full and clear view of the backseat without you having to turn around to see what your children are doing.

A conversation mirror allows you to keep your eyes on the road, and an eye on your kids, at the same time.

Feature #3: Lots of Cup Holders

When you have young kids, you are going to have lots of needs to use cup holders. Look for a vehicle with cup holders in both the front and the rear of your vehicle.

With young kids, you may want to look for cup holders with flexible tabs that allow for different sized cups to be placed in them. Cupholders can also be an excellent place to put your children's little toys that they play within the car as well.

Feature #4: Built-in DVD Player

Yes, almost everyone has a smartphone or a tablet these days, but that doesn't mean you want to give your expensive device to your toddler in the back seat to play with.

That is where a built-in entertainment system, with a screen that folds down and allows for viewing from the backseat, can be convenient for entertaining your kids. With the right entertainment system, you can choose what your kids want from the front seat, while your kids are entertained in the back seat.

When it comes to purchasing a vehicle when you have kids, you want a vehicle that works just as well for your kids as it does you. Look for a vehicle with built-in rear shades, a conversation mirror, lots of cupholders, and a built-in entertainment system. These features will help keep your kids safe, comfortable, and entertained in the backseat.
